The HD2® Sand Moisture Meter overcomes the limitations of traditional moisture measurement techniques like oven-drying or kiln drying. Traditional drying methods typically use a small testing sample, around 500 grams, and take 30-40 minutes to yield results. However, these methods are significantly influenced by stone size; even a single larger stone in the test sample can skew results by 10-20%. In contrast, the HD2® Sand Moisture Meter provides a more reliable and efficient solution for accurate moisture measurement.
With the HD2® moisture meter, your QC officer can obtain moisture readings of sand and other construction aggregates in under 5 seconds, directly on-site. This meter measures the three most important parameters: volumetric moisture, temperature, and conductivity. Additionally, the device automatically averages consecutive readings to minimize measurement error, ensuring precise and reliable data every time.
The HD2® Portable Sand Moisture Meter is 100% modular in design. The SONO-M1® sand moisture probe is detachable from the digital hand-held device for easy replacement or repairs.
