The Uf801 flow meter utilizes transit-time ultrasonic technology (time-of-flight) to calculate the flow velocity and volumetric flow rate. The flow meter consists of two transducers that alternately send and receive ultrasonic signals to measure the transit time difference between the transmitted and received ultrasound signal. Transit time flow meters are suitable to measure homogenous liquids that do not suffer from aeration and do not contain high concentration of suspended solids. Because, such particles in the liquid will behave as ultrasonic reflectors and cause signal attenuation resulting in a poor flow reading.
